Description

This unique event is a combination of three very popular workshops, run together as an intensive, in the delightful country town of Coolamon.  By booking the three-day option you will automatically receive a 10% discount on the usual workshops fee.  Email me direct, for my personal recommendations for a place to stay during your visit to our beautiful town.  enquiries@studiofaro.com

We will be starting with Fitting Trouser Patterns, where all students bring a calico toile of my Womens Trouser Block for a full day of personalised fittings.  All students need to purchase this block and make a calico toile before this session begins. I will demonstrate how to make changes to my Women's Trouser Block to improve the overall fit and balance.  By fitting your trouser block you will be prepared for the following two days of Trouser Pattern Making.  You'll find more detail for this day of training here:  Fitting Trouser Patterns - CWA Rooms, COOLAMON.

The second day is focused on making basic Trouser Patterns from your personally fitted block.  This introductory pattern making workshop for TROUSERS will help all students to develop their understanding of basic pattern making techniques and the trouser block that is the starting point for making the most comfortable trousers you will ever wear.   This will include the knowledge of trouser fly patterns, tailored pockets, creating balanced trouser legs and a variety of classic trouser designs.   Because you have attended my Fitting Trouser Patterns workshop and used my Women's Trouser Block to develop a personal fit block for yourself, then you'll be able to draft your first trouser patterns to fit perfectly.  More detail here:  Trouser Pattern Making - CWA Rooms, COOLAMON.

The third and final day is for Creative Trouser pattern making, that involves dart transfer for creative designs, twisted leg seams, and loads of creative detail, all using your own personal trouser block.  The Creative Trouser Patterns workshop will introduce students to pattern manipulation techniques that produce quirky trouser styles for woven fabrics, using my Trouser Block. This is where flat pattern making techniques meet creative drape.  More detail here:  Creative Trouser Patterns - COOLAMON.

If you're unable to make it to Coolamon for the full three days, you can book each of these workshops individually here:
